By Colin Angus
In June, 2004, Colin Angus left Vancouver on his bicycle. approximately years later, he rolled again in, taking a look like a castaway, and having accomplished the 1st human-powered circumnavigation of the globe.
Angus cycled, skiied, and rowed a course that took him to Alaska, around the Bering Sea and the Siberian iciness, throughout Europe from Moscow to Portugal, then around the Atlantic to Costa Rica--a 156-day rowing odyssey. From there it used to be a brief 8,300 kilometre experience again to Vancouver. alongside the best way he burned via 4,000 chocolate bars, seventy two internal tubes, 250 kgs of freeze-dried meals, 31 dorado fish (caught from the sea), 2 offshore rowboats, four bicycles, eighty kgs of garments. And he confirmed the realm that if he can commute 43,000 kilometres with out polluting the planet, then the remainder of us can get off our butts, and freshen up our personal acts.
